ARISE BAKEHOUSE.

august, 2023

This has been a long time coming.
For years, family and friends and even complete strangers have been encouraging me to pursue and share my love of cooking, baking, writing, and making. And here we are. Again. I've started and restarted so many web templates, instagram profiles, and creative brainstorms. Throughout the last couple of years I developed a huge sense of shame because I never followed through with my concepts and couldn't seem to figure out why. Today I view it all as a journey of growth and goodness. Each dream and idea has been met with support and excitement from my community. The only person holding me back, was me. I think the reason that it's sticking this time is because I not only believe in myself but I believe that God gives us all gifts and talents made just for sharing. I've realized it would be a disservice to myself, my people, and others to not do my best to encourage growth and healthy relationships with both food and the kitchen in our homes.
Food is a bit of a love language for me. It's also been a constant companion through my life and I've had many ups and downs with it. In the last few years I've developed some health issues that have required me to view food differently yet again. As many of us are all too familiar with, this requires us often to rethink about our lives and bodies. In all of this I have chosen to rise to the occasion and embrace all the good things that food still has to offer my body, my soul, and my home. I'd be honored if you stayed for a meal or two. This is a space to learn, heal, and share around food, wellness, and home.

There’s room at the table for you.
