Let’s commend the enjoyment of life.

I believe that food sustains us in many and beautiful ways - to fuel us, heal us, comfort us, and bring us together. Let's commend the enjoyment of life, enjoying the fruits of our labor and sharing good things with the people we love. I hope these recipes find you in good health or help bring you to it.
Having faced health issues of my own, my diet has been required to face several changes. Going from enjoying all kinds of foods without question to being put on incredibly strict diets under a Holistic Nutritionist’s care, I know navigating our health journeys can be very lonely and frustrating. Though the recipes you find here are for everyone, there is a special intention for those who need gluten free, dairy free, and lowFODMAP options.

“So I commended enjoyment, because a man has nothing better under the sun than to eat, drink, and be merry; for this will remain with him in his labor all the days of his life which God gives him under the sun.”

 -Ecclesiastes 8:15

SARA KATHRYN SATY

Born in California, raised some time in Montana, deep lover of Texas, residing in Washington, but always to call Arkansas home, I am from here, there, and nowhere. Cooking and baking have been consistent and faithful no matter where I've lived, and I've never failed to find others who spoke and loved the language of food. I love making delicious meals for my friends and family, and inspiring others to do the same. There is an incredible connection between our overall wellness and our kitchen tables. Arise Bakehouse was made for sharing my soul and hoping to encourage you to do the same.
When I’m not in the kitchen I love spending time writing, reading, going to the movies, traveling, long walks, listening to jazz, playing music, planning, and catching up on podcasts.
